The library plays a vital role in academic, scientific and educational process, introducing students, teachers, scientists and other IE-employees to cultural heritage, spiritual and intellectual potential of mankind.
Being an information centre of the Institute, the library both accumulates and preserves manifold resources. The library stock amounts to more than 70 thousand items, including books, brochures, learning and teaching support kits, periodicals, multimedia materials and e-documents .
Being an integral part of modern information and communication medium, the library forms the learning contents in accordance with the profile of the Institute; creates comfortable environment for students’ self-guided work, as well as for teachers and for other institute employees. The stuff of the library instructs the users how to work with information.
The structure of the library includes:
• 2 circulation divisions;
• 2 reading rooms with 104 seats.
• 8 computer workstations with Internet access and WLAN.
The users of the library are provided with a complete range of services based on modern information and communication technologies.
Virtual Reading Room (VRR) provides the users with an access to electronic information resources: full text database, abstract database, bibliographic and factual database. The Institute has open access to the full text database of the ‘University’s library’.
